What does it take to be a good Internet Marketer?
Apart from being entrepreneurial, internet marketing demands a tuned mind and a good skill-set. Both require training and nurturing. Furthermore, you need to be a good communicator.
Support 4 Internet Marketing provides digital products in the form of eBooks, downloadable courses and relevant software to support your online business. Your success comes from driving traffic to your website and getting these prospects to take the action you want them to. This could include buying a product or service, signing up for a subscription, training course or affiliate program. I have well over 3,000 products in my e-Shop to support all stages of this process from having the right mind-set & skill-set to supporting satisfied customers.
So what do I mean by a tuned mind? A mind that is open to change and taking on new ideas but one that is also focused on running an online business at a profit based on integrity and sound ethics. The internet is fast changing both in terms of technological advances and the adaptive strategies of the leaders eg, Google and the way it changes its method of web site and key word rankings from time to time. I have digital products that will help bring you up to date in my e-Shop. Your mind also needs to be tuned into the way your customer behaves (likes & dislikes) so that your creative energies in copywriting are going to attract their attention, interest, desire and action as appropriate.
And the skill-set you need? Well the list can be long. In most instances none of us are going to be experts in all the skills. But certainly at the start you need to have a reasonable overview of all the skills so that you know what to do. As your business prospers then you can begin to outsource some of the tasks knowing fully what you want and having an appreciation of the requirements of the task so that you end up paying a fair price. Here are some of the skills required of an internet marketer: computer literacy; know how to search and use the internet; have a basic understanding of sales and marketing; copywriting for web sites and advertising; web design and development (at least basic html); know how and where to place free and paid advertising; understand and use social networking sites; blogging; the ability to communicate online using email, voice over internet protocol (VOIP) and video; and more. Again in my e-Shop you will find the resources to build your knowledge base and also to carry out some of the tasks associated with the skills.
Let me know how I can help you. Be sure to visit the e-Shop, the daily special offers in the e-Shop and my Resources page all of which are designed to support you in you internet marketing efforts.
